Frocks with Flowers
Excuse the obvious lateness of these photos; I think somewhere in the rush of getting everything ready to move, I must have completely forgotten about this shoot! We went to Richmond back in July for a day of exploring before we left the city, and what a beautiful day it was. I remember it feeling like the first real day of summer, and we loved discovering this amazing part of London that we hadn’t ventured to before. Wandering around Kew Gardens and Richmond Park is certainly not a bad way to spend a Saturday…
If you haven’t been to this part of town before, I really recommend it. A beautiful twisting little high street leads down to the riverfront, which is just so picturesque. Huge houses towering over the waterline, hidden lanes covered with greenery… even a pink palace! What more could you want?
Keeping in with the botanical theme, I wore one of my favourite dresses for the occasion; this pretty pink floral midi never fails as far as I’m concerned! It’s one of those rare all-rounder pieces in my wardrobe – I’ve worn it with bare legs and heels for a trip to the theatre, with tights and ankle boots in the winter, and here with casual trainers for a day of walking. It just works!
I just loved this day and I’m annoyed I forgot to share these photos, but at least we have them now. It’s places like this and days like this that I will miss having in London, but I am excited about having a whole new city to explore and share with you (providing I remember that I have the photos, of course…!)
