The Breton Stripe Edit

They're a wardrobe staple that it seems most of us can't do without, but the perfect ones are pretty hard to come by. I'm talking Breton tops, of course. Paired with jeans, denim shorts, leather skirts, dungarees - whatever you wear with them, they're always a classic.

But sometimes tracking down that perfect one can be a little tricky; the perfect Breton, for me, has a wider neck, a boxy fit and longer sleeves - a traditional kind of style. Lots of striped tees on the high street can be tight-fitting, with stretchy fabric that clings in all the wrong places - nuh uh honey. And if you'd prefer a t-shirt version for summer, finding a flattering fit can be a minefield too.

So I've trawled the high street to find what I think are pretty-close-to-perfect when it comes to that elusive find - an edit of the perfect Breton stripes...
