My Holy Grail Mascara

the style stories l'oreal lash architect mascara

My most-loved makeup look is most definitely all about the eyes. Fresh skin, natural lips, and thick, fluttery eyelashes - you can't go wrong. But finding the right mascara is more often all about the error when trialling, and during my time, I've found more duds than I'd care to think about (or tot up exactly how much I had to spend on them...!).

But finally, after many years, I think I've found The One, you guys.

L'Oreal's Lash Architect 4D Mascara gives me the lashes of my dreams; long, thick, fluttery, never clumpy, never spidery.

Two coats results in that wide, doe-eyed look that I love, and often has people asking which lashes I'm wearing. Model's own, dear readers, model's own (but only thanks to this miracle worker of a mascara...).

The weird thing about Lash Architect is that the regular version seems to have much better staying power than its waterproof sister. I've found the waterproof version to smudge under my eyes, leaving annoying black dots that are nigh-on impossible to remove. The dryer waterproof formula flakes much more, and unless you have an industrial-strength remover to hand at the end of the day, you should be prepared to lose many of your lashes - this stuff just does not budge.

There are none of these issues with the regular version that I love so much. It doesn't smudge, it doesn't streak (I've cried laughing wearing this, and it still doesn't run away down my face!), and it only tends to flake after a very long day. Best of all, it's so simple to remove with a regular micellar water, cleansing oil or even wipes (you bad girl, don't you know wipes are forbidden?!).

So in a nutshell - what are you waiting for? Sexy 60s' style lashes are easy to achieve with this little tube of wonder, and incredibly you'll usually get change out of a tenner too. Don't say I'm not good to you...
