Interiors Wishlist: Grey & Gold

We may still be in the midst of househunting, but that doesn't mean that a girl can't dream...

While we've been poring over dozens of flats and viewing every weekend, I've been keeping myself sane by window-shopping online for the dreamy bits and pieces that will hopefully fill my future home (wherever it may be!). I've put together a little wishlist of pieces that are truly floating my boat at the moment, and are definitely on the shopping list to make that new house feel like home...

Rocking Chair: Cult Furniture. Cutlery: PAD Lifestyle. Sofa: DFS.
Bar Cart: Oliver Bonas. Print: Diedododa.

I'm appearing to have a full-on gold obsession at the moment, that's manifesting itself across the board when it comes to interiors, but especially in the kitchen. I love the idea of soft gold cutlery to add a bit of glamour to mealtimes (and even make a bowl of pasta that little bit more Instagrammable) and this set from PAD Lifestyle in Edinburgh is really reasonable too. I am also determined to have a bar cart in the new house, at long last, and this marble and gold number from Oliver Bonas is petite enough to slot into even a dinky living room.

In terms of furniture, I definitely feel inspired by the Sixties and want to create a living room with retro references, but without looking like a museum exhibit. This Eames-inspired rocking chair is the perfect blend of modern retro for me; I'd feel right at home cosied up in this, in the window space, reading a book or gazing out at the view. DFS' French Connection range has also delivered the sofa of my vintage dreams; the Zinc sofa in this warm charcoal is literally everything I want from a sofa, and will definitely be the one we choose when it comes down to the wire. Although I have heard they are now selling it in pink velvet...

To pop in a bit of colour on what will undoubtedly be plain white walls, I've been looking for some chic and colourful prints that will pep up the space easily. Edinburgh-based artist Diedododa has a full Botanical Alphabet range which I absolutely love, so I'll be purchasing one of the Ls when we're settled - the bonus of us having the same initial is that we only have to buy one of everything monogrammed!
