i-on x Anthropologie Shopping Event
At the start of October, I was lucky enough to be invited along to a private shopping party at Anthropologie on George Street, hosted by the wonderful team at i-on magazine*. You could probably guess this from one look at my blog anyway, but I really do adore Anthropologie, and whenever there's a wishlist going on, you can always guarantee I've got at least a couple of their wares included. So when the invitation popped into my inbox, complete with an offer of 10% discount on the night, I RSVP'd faster than I'd care to admit to...
If you've not visited Edinburgh's branch of Anthropologie, I urge you to. It has all the glamour and space of its Regent Street sister, but without the clamouring crowds and hordes of tourists. It's always a lovely experience popping into the George Street store - mainly to go all heart-eyed over the homewares - but add to that being greeted with a glass of prosecco and the chance to win some beautiful home accessories, and it took things up a notch.
I really enjoyed getting a sneak peek of the beautiful Liberty x Anthropologie collection, as well as getting a glimpse of the Christmas goodies too - the tree decorations are just too beautiful. And getting a little discount on the night made those cheeky purchases I'd been planning all the sweeter - although they were all gifts for other people, promise.
There was lots going on throughout the evening, including a 'make your own rings' workshop and a pop-up Bobbi Brown makeup counter, but one of the highlights of the event was the styling workshop with personal styling team I'll Be Your Mirror. They ran a couple of these workshops throughout the night, and the one I caught was all about incorporating glitzier items into your wardrobe and making them versatile throughout the seasons. Anthropologie's clothing is certainly beautiful, but it's not always subtle, so this kind of workshop was really interesting to see how you can tone down statement items if you're bashful - something I covered too, in this recent post. One of their suggested combos sent me all giddy too, and I've been lusting after this oversized embroidered jumper paired with this blue pleated midi ever since.
In summary? A fabulous event that was bad news for my bank balance - my Anthro wishlists have gone through the roof!!
*This event was a private event for i-on club members. I was kindly invited along free of charge.
