The Style Stories Christmas Gift Guide 2017: Stocking Fillers
Now we're down to the nitty gritty of things... we've had my gift guide for her, for him and for the home, and now we're amalgamating every category into smaller, budget-friendly items that would make delightful stocking-fillers for the ones you love this Christmas.
Some of these items also double up as Secret Santa ideas for colleagues and friends, depending on your budget limitations. Here you'll find a selection of goodies for him and her and everybody else, so happy shopping!
First up, gin baubles. You'll have seen these all over Instagram, so you'll need to be quick if you want to pick them up, but they make super fun gifts for friends and colleagues this Christmas. There's a few kinds on the market, but these Pickering's Gin ones (£30) are colourful, fun and delicious!
If your budget can't stretch to jewellery, a pretty ring holder is a lovely alternative. This gold and marble one is just £5 and fits a small selection of rings, perfect for prettying up the bedside table.
Make their commute more stylish with this chic leopard-print card holder (£6), ideal for housing bus passes, Oyster cards or train tickets.
Even those who are 'impossible to buy for' like chocolates. Go fancy with a box of Charbonnel et Walker Sipsmith Gin Truffles (£13) that they are bound to enjoy - they make a perfect gift for neighbours or colleagues that you don't know too well.
A pocket guide book is a fun but useful gift, whatever the recipient. If they've just moved into their own place, try How To Make A Home (£7.99), or if they're bossing life as a strong, independent woman, pop The Little Black Book (£5) into their stocking.
A Diptyque candle is a luxe gift in its own right, but a miniature version makes a gorgeous stocking filler. Diptyque's Roses (£24) is a mini luxury that they're sure to adore.
This next suggestion is a must-have in my household. Give them the gift of great sleep, with This Works' cult Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (£18). They will love you forever!
For him, these cosy sherpa-lined smartphone-friendly denim and leather gloves (£39.95) are a gorgeous gift. Practical and very smart, he'll thank you when he's Instagramming his commute come January.
And for her, pick up a cute knitted beanie, like this cosy grey and white one, complete with pom-pom (£19.95). Again, it's a practical gift, but one she's sure to love.
Come back next week for the final instalment in The Style Stories Christmas Gift Guide 2017, when I'll be sharing my indie brand recommendations for a unique gift.
